5th meeting of the Regional Core Group for Europe

The main objective of the fifth meeting of the Regional Core Group (RCG5) was to prepare for the 86th OIE General Session to be held in Paris from 20 to 25 May 2018. Its aim was mainly to agree on:

1. the agenda of the meeting of the OIE Regional Commission for Europe (21 May 2018 pm)
2. the possible candidates to be supported at the OIE specialist Commissions, OIE Regional Commission for Europe and OIE Council elections
3. the support or not of the OIE Codes ’chapters presented for adoption in May 2018 (those that had been pre-selected at the RCG4).

Other important items in the agenda included a proposed selection of Technical Items for the 28th Conference of the OIE Regional Commission for Europe (Tbilisi, September 2018) and the 2020 OIE General Session, and the state of implementation of the regional Work Plan Framework of the OIE regional Commission for Europe.
