A teleconference of the Regional Core Group was organized on 23 February 2017. The main objective was to discuss the new process for selection of experts of OIE Specialist Commissions and voice the position of Europe at the next meeting of the OIE Council end of February, using as porte-paroles the Members of the OIE Council who at the same time seat in the Regional Core Group (namely Dr Nepoklonov and Dr Schwabenbauer).
Deelgates of Latvia, Austria, Serbia, Georgia, Spain, Swiss and UK attended the TC as well as Delgate of Germany (Member of the OIE Council) and the three OIE OFfices in Europe (Moscow, Brussels and Astana).
